OUR SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

FOR OUR STUDENTS PURSUING A DEGREE AT JOHN PAUL II

CROSS CATHOLIC OUTREACH

Description: John Paul II Junior College students selected as Cross Scholars receive a scholarship of up to $625 for their first semester.  Qualifying Cross Scholars may renew the scholarship for their second semester of studies.  Students must retain a 2.0 GPA, maintain praiseworthy conduct, and perform a minimum of 1-hour of service per week throughout the semester (or its equivalent) to renew their scholarship. 

Eligibility: All current first-year JPII students.

Application: The 2019 applications will open within the first two weeks of September. 

FRIENDS OF MOUNT CARMEL HIGH SCHOOL

Description: The Friends of Mount Carmel High School Scholarship provides one-semester renewable scholarships to graduates of Mount Carmel High School who are deemed Friends of MCHS Scholars. The scholarship pays the tuition of any Associate Degree program at Catholic junior colleges within Belize. Moreover, the scholarship also covers fees for students attending John Paul II Junior College. Students must retain a 2.0 GPA, maintain praiseworthy conduct, and perform a minimum of 1-hour of service per week throughout the semester (or its equivalent) to renew their scholarship.

Eligibility: Any Mount Carmel High School graduate and current MCHS fourth-formers on track to graduate.

Application: Applications are open now and will close on April 2, 2020. Applications may be submitted to our campus in Benque or emailed to jpiibelize@gmail.com. Current MCHS fourth-formers may also submit completed applications to MCHS teacher, Ms. Maria Schmitz.

FOR OUR GRADUATES PURSUING A BACHELOR DEGREE

FRIENDS OF MOUNT CARMEL HIGH SCHOOL

Description: This scholarship covers tuition cost up to $3,780.00 per year for any bachelor degree program at any college or university in Belize. Applicants should demonstrate academic perseverance, noble character, and a faithful heart. Turn in completed applications by July 10th, 2020 to Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish office. Scholarship winners will be announced on the last week of August. Friends of MCHS Scholars perform an hour of service per week or its equivalent throughout the semester.

Eligibility: Any Mount Carmel High School graduate with an associates degree.

Application: Applications are open now and will close on July 10, 2020. Applications may be submitted to to Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish office. Scholarship winners will be announced in the last week of August.
